Chika's Trick or Treat Adventure

Our Dog Celebrates Halloween

After having Chika, our little dog, endure trying on and modeling numerous costumes my wife finally settled on a nurse outfit for Chika for Halloween.

Now, Halloween is supposed to be for children, but in recent years it has increasingly become a holiday for adults.  As described my earlier Hub, Halloween Fun for Dog Owners, whether they like it or not, dogs now have to participate in Halloween to indulge their owners.

Chika is no exception and, as my wife's replacement for our children who have now grown into adults but haven't reached the point of providing us with grandchildren, Chika must now fill the void left by our children having matured.and left the nest.

Dressed in the nurse costume made by a friend of my wife's, Chika waits patiently on the couch to see what happens next.

This is her first Halloween and she is not sure of what to expect. However, having spent the past couple of weeks being dressed up and photographed, she has learned to wait patiently to see what comes next.

So cute! Excellent writing again. You could be a new Erma Bombeck. Wikepedia says: Her three weekly columns were published by 900 newspapers and anthologized into best-selling books. During the 1980s, Bombeck's annual earnings ranged from $500,000 to $1 million. Or at least you could be like Leon Hale, who does columns for the Houston Chronicle. remember us when you are famous.

Cute outfit, any Spaniel make a pass? I think Xena is glad she's a cat at this point knowing all she has to do for a treat is sit and stand like a mongoose. LOL She's my kid replacement.

Very cute but I think the adults might have had more fun than Chika did. Isn't is special how our pets become another member of the family? I
